HELP - Looking for a BT card ASAP!

Just pulled credit with the FICO 3B Ultimate:

FICO 8:  EQ: 684 TU: 702 EX: 682

trifecta:   EQ: 715 TU: 661 EX: 706

AUTO 8: EQ: 694 TU: 706 EX: 679

BANK 8: EQ: 678 TU: 704 EX: 683

FICO 9:  EQ: 730 TU: 741 EX: 716

Need to pay off almost 2k on a furniture account before late June, or else 1200+ in deferred interest gets tacked on.  Any BT card recommendations? I have all my data points and ALL my scores, available upon request. This is my first time using a myFICO product.  Holy cow, my FICO 9 scores are way higher than my 8 scores!

Thanks.

Re: HELP - Looking for a BT card ASAP!

I'll start:

Amex - either ED or BCE

Discover It

Barclay - either Apple or Rewards (can't remember what their BT offers are though, so you have to check) either CashForward, or Arrival card

BTW - nice score jumps on all bureaus!

Re: HELP - Looking for a BT card ASAP!

Also, Baclay's CashForward card has 0% APR on BT for the first 12 months. Same for their Arrival card. Their NFL Extra Points Visa offers 0% for 15 months on BTs.

It looks like the Barclay Rewards card does not have a 0% BT offer, and neither does the Apple card, so scratch those off the list.

Re: HELP - Looking for a BT card ASAP!

It's not the prettiest of terms but if you just use to BT, all you pay is 4%. But never pay late:

  • A single late payment could result in the promotional interest rate being revoked, and interest of 15% to 22% being charged from account opening

Make sure you read all well, I would only use as BT, but 24 months is plenty of time to pay off 2k

Emma: 24 months is nice! Is that a card that's been discussed on the forum? I like that it's a VISA Signature card too. I will put that on the list to consider.

JM3: Amex and Discover were the two cards I was eyeing for months. Now I don't mind an appo-rama to get it done and back in the Garden. Should I open them in separate tabs and hit Apply on them all within 1-2 seconds? I'm considering the one that Emma recommended, too.

Thanks.  Peep out DW's FICO 8 scores. Her middle mtg score is 690 from 651 last week. We made it up into a lower mtg rate. Shouldn't be too hard to get to 720 middle score for an even better mtg rate, before closing.

No, hopefully they'll pull different bureaus, but I wouldn't worry about it. Do whichever is your favorite first, then do the other next.

As for Santander Bank, I've heard some iffy things about them, but I have no experience with them personally. They aren't talked about much on here, so there is probably a reason for that.
