Has anyone recently been approved for a citi simplicity card?

If so, what scores did you have? I am just looking for 0% BT options. Currently at 700 on TU, 681 on EX, and 672 on EQ. Any advice is much appreciated as I still do not have a centurion card...

Lol, I cant even spell CenturianSmiley Wink

Though the Simplicity is a good bt card, maybe go for Boa's version with better chance at higher sl or better chances for future increases on the card. Just a thoughtSmiley Wink

If you are going to go to Citi, I recommend the Citi Diamond Preferred over the Simplicity for two reasons:

  • The intro APR when you get the card is 0% APR for 21 months while the Simplicity's intro is only 0% APR for 18 months
  • You can PC the Citi Diamond Preferred to another Citi card in the future and I have seen on these forums that the Simplicity cannot be product changed to a different card.
    • This is important because once your 0% APR period is over, you will most likey want to switch to a card that actually gives you some sort of rewards instead of just having a credit card that literally does nothing for you

Good luck to you!

My Simplicity card is useless and I didn't even use it for a BT.  Another impulse app.  Never, never, never take a HP and reduce your AAoA for a one time BT.....unless the card has growth potential.  After 4 years, it may soon go above the $10k level but it still offers no perks whatsoever.  Worst one of all is Chase Slate.

Yeah, lesson learned on that one. Did exactly that with a Chase Slate. Never again.

This is why I suggested to Op to look at the Bank of America card . I have a BBR and I can do bts basically all year long and growth potential is better than Simplicity. The DP as suggested is the better Citi alternative in that it can eventually be pcd

BofA is definitely the way to go imho. I BT on all three of the cards I have with them. It is so easy. Offers all the time.
