Help on what to do next

Long time lurker here. I am asking for help on what cards to apply for next to build my profile.
My FICO scores are currently EQ 723, TU 759, EX 733. My oldest acct 6yr and that's when my mother added me as AU. I'm 23 by the way and responsible.
Okay so currently have cards listed and never received a CLI and always use and pif. I leave 2 cards with low balances at a time (rotate to reports with a low balance):
NFCU gorewards at 1200,
Navchek 4000,
Discover it 1900,
Lowes 5000,
amazon was 900 but they lowered to 100 this month after I paid 800 balance (told me to wait for letter to dispute and raise it back),
Capital One 2000 (they too closed and reason was using & paying too often, so this month let it report with 600 balance)
And car loan pay more monthly and 12 month old.
All credit cards are over 18 months and capital one was over 24 months.

Can someone please help me with deciding what NFCU card to apply for next and what other cards? My mom use to be good at this but said she hasn't applied for credit in awhile and stuff has changed. Income is over 47k and no rent and same job 5yrs. Whatever app spree I do I want to do all in one day.

Re: Help on what to do next

Maybe just stick with what you have for now & let those accounts age out a bit. Keep yourself in good standing and try for CLI with each of those.

Btw, I have never heard of capital one closing someone's card for using it too much and paying too much. That's actually something they love. The more you use it, the more money for them. Was that reason from a service rep? Or did they say that on an official letter? CSR for all banks aren't always the most knowledgeable

Hi and welcome to MyFICO

IMHO, since you have had 2 AAs, I think you should slow down and take stock of your credit profile. Now may not be the time to apply for new credit. Wait to get the letter to find out why Amazon did a CLD and Cap1 closed your account.

I would wait 6 mos before applying for anything to correct any issues.

|| AmX Cash Magnet $40.5K || NFCU CashRewards $30K || Discover IT $24.7K || Macys $24.2K || NFCU CLOC $15K || NFCU Platinum $15K || CitiCostco $12.7K || Chase FU $12.7K || Apple Card $7K || BOA CashRewards $6K

Re: Help on what to do next

Called Amazon after my post found out reason was delinquencies and high balances. I have neither. They referred me to Transunion. Got a rep there and she confirmed that I have nothing on my report based on the reason Amazon gave. She is mailing me a copy of my report. Called Amazon back and got account manager who put in a dispute and I have to fax report when I get it. She said something must've triggered the system but if its incorrect, it's their fault.
Capital One happened about five months ago and I decided to let it be. I logged into discover after my post and recieved an auto CLI after the statement cut.

Re: Help on what to do next

I would wait for atleast 6 months for now. Build on what you have for the time being and let your accounts age. Being an AU helps but an AU isn't financially responsible for an account so banks don't always put too much weight into that. I would garden for some time to let some of your own history grow and then see what's the best move for you.

Re: Help on what to do next

I'm actually not an AU on anyone's accounts.

Thanks I will take your suggestion.
