How good are Discover Pre-Quals?

Got a Discover pre qualification on two cards.
Discover It cashback- says apr 24.49% apr. 14 months at 0% apr on purchases and balance transfers.

A different Discover it cashbaxk- apr 24.49. 6 months 0% apr purchase. 18 months at 0% apr.

Is it save to say approval is pretty likely?

Yes, go for it!  I just got approved for Discover 2 days ago by clicking on their prequal link.  Good luck!  Btw, my credit scores aren't the best.

Well that’s great news! Congrats. Do you mind me asking what credit line you got or was it a secured card?

Discover is solid when it comes to prequals.  My wife had both this past Saturday and got approved for $4k on the "it" card.

WOW 4K is a great starting line. Was she quoted an APR too? Fico around 640 here so seems like a reasonable score to get discover. Obviously not fantastic score but ya

Not sure of APR, don't remember. Her scores were in the 730s. If all else is good in your reports, you might get $1000 or $500, who knows. But the good thing is that you have two prequals. if you go for it, report back here and share :-)

Will do so. Likely small line like you mentioned. But from what I read discover is good about credit line increases with good use on their card and others.

I read the same thing. Can't wait until I'm at that point and I get a CLI, better yet qualify for unsecured.

I started with a small loc of $200.00.  Walking before taking off running, lol!  Baby steps, ya know!!

I recently applied after receiving an "invite" in the mail from Discover.  Before I went for the application, I did the prequalification first, then, filled out the app.  I was approved instantly.
