How long do I wait?

I got the Barclays Rewards MC a little over a month ago. SLI is @ $1500 (approved after recon). I've been putting heavy usage on the card and have already made multiple payments $200-300 throughout month. My question is, how long should I wait before trying to apply for another Barclays card? I've always wanted a citi or Amex card, neither of them like me. I may just wait 6+ months in the garden and try Amex again...suggestions?

Your scores are a tad on the lower side, then again i have no room to talk either (mine are 630's due to high utilization) but i would suggest gardening.

When in doubt garden.

Mine took a ding due to too many new accounts in the last 6 months. Probably like 10 lol..but I'm trying to rebuild so I know damn well in a few years these accounts will be in a much better place. They say you gotta take some dings before you see your scores shoot up. Also, 3 baddies and only baddies, fall off on 4/2016..I should probably wait til then for any other cards since by then, my cards will be close to 2 years old and have higher limits. With no baddies I think I would have a better chance at a high SL by waiting...but my patient sucks :/

Barclays recon dept for me is staffed with slackers.

They like to bellyache and gripe over every new account about this and that and how long and then deny.

Because of THAT nonsense they have only increased and quickly advanced my credit profile and limits by forcing me to turn to their competitors who have been only more than willing to offer decent lines w/approvals (many twice!) without nit picking over the reports like weenies.

If you want another card with them and you're building up your credit than you better try sooner than later because after you add new accounts they get all spastic and crap and just make your experience with them a complete downer.

That's been my experience with them. I hope yours is better but remember time waits for no one including tightwad lenders

I'd keep using the card for at least 6 months before applying for anything else.  If those are your current scores in your signature, get them up a bit before applying for anything with Barclays with you want a decent starting limit.
