@Anonymous nah just be happy for them as they will surely be happy with you when you get that big SL
At least that is what I am telling myself as I'm looking at homes that I have no shot at getting until February at the earliest.
@Sandman771 Agreed! This place has taught me so much over the last year.. And also increase my CL from $500 -> $9300 in the last 9 months.
If it would only teach me patience. I went out and apped for two crappy cards because I was "pre-approved". Never again, but my Navy cards my oldest won't grow because I've reached the aximum exposure they will tolerate right now. But I did get a $300 CLI on my biggest one from $5200 to $5500. That $200 just bothered me lol. So I'm sitting my behind in the garden until February or a pre-approval for Amex pops up and even then might not jump on it.
Haha, it seems a lot of us struggle with patience on here!
I'm looking to complete my Chase Trifecta first but Amex has been sending me lots of offers that make my head turn! I've been getting Gold75k/ Plat 100k offers very regularly as well and seeing as to how most of my regular spend is Dining/Groceries I am wondering if I am investing in the best ecosystem. The 5/24 rule pushed me to go with Chase first along with additional CL to strengthen my profile vs charge cards.
Planning on more international travel for pleasure but work travel is domestic. Still a little torn between Chase/Amex.
EDIT: Spelling
Do you mind sharing how you increased CL from $500 to $9300 in 9 months? That's amazing!
@Anonymous With Chase just watch the 5/24 rule . . . Make sure you have less than 5 opened accounts within 24-months.
In a nut shell I only had a $500 Cap1 Plat (Opened Dec 2018) until I got an Apple Card September 2020 which started with a $1300 limit. That same time I received a $100 increase in my Cap1 to $600. This March 2021 I apped was approved for Discover IT SL $3500 and CFU SL $1800 April 2021 Apple CLI to $3300 and Cap1 was bumped to $700 and PCd to QS.
i do also have a car loan on my CR.
Currently at 3/24 Chase rule.
Very nice! Congrats on those successes. If you don't mind asking, was the CLI from apple auto or requested?
Thank you! This forum has taught me well!
CLI from Apple was requested. Averaging $800-$1200 Monthly spend.
