How strong are Chase pre-qual mailers?

So Chase sent me a mailer for the Chase freedom unlimtied with the 5% grocery offer and $200 SUB that's been going around.

I thought about applying for this in the past but held off thinking it's going to be a instant denial. Still thinking it's going to be the same and this is just marketing material.

A few months over 1 year history scores around 720-730 or so and very low util. No negatives.

Thoughts?

Does it use more solid terms on the offer or an APR or more vague terms and ranges?!

On a side note have you been applying for a lot of things in the past 24 months?!    I noticed the a little over a year part, the scores itself don't seem bad, utl low is another good thing and over a year is a good thing too so then it gets down to apping and inquiries and how lucky you are feeling to push da button!   XD

@Anonymous  If it a firm APR their offers are usually pretty solid. I would say pull the trigger.

The mailer may be just marketing, but going just but what you have posted I would expect you to be approved.

If you have opened and closed enough cards such that you have opened 5 or more cards in the last 24 months then would very likely be rejected.

Scores seem fine, though it's really a matter of where you are concerning 5/24. If under that you possibly have a good shot, if over then it's a no and just marketing.

Chase wants a year of credit history, under 5/24, and a decent profile. You tick all of those boxes so your chances are good.

If (a) your credit scores are equal to or higher than what they were a month or two ago and (b) the prequalification has a single interest rate in the disclosure, as opposed to a range of interest rates, then go for it.

How long ago was it that you opened then immediately closed the Amazon card?

How many inquiries do you have? I seem to recall you got denied quite a bit when you first joined the forum (apologies if I have you confused with someone else)
