They pulled a 729 EX. My file is clean as a whistle, 1% util with a limit of $15,000 on one of my Amex cards. I had hoped a decent reporting limit would give them confidence. Income isn't a problem..
Oh well..
Definitely try reconning again. Make sure you're speaking with a JPM rep and not a Chase rep; I've seen more success with the former. Good luck!
I'm undecided as to whether or not I'll recon. After the rep told me my balances were to high (1% total utilization) I applied and was approved for the Barclays Arrival +. I'm waiting to see what effect that new account along with my new Amex SPG have on my scores before I'm comfortable adding another line. How much time do I have after the denial letter to attempt a recon?

30 days from date of denial or date of letter not when it was received

I think you are doing pretty good with that SPG & Arrival!
