Do any of you know how I can get the recon numbers for Barclaycard, Discover and Capital One? Please and thank you.
Email the Capital One executive office, then wait for your call. Good luck on these. What cards did you apply for?
Kinda suprised you have to recon that discover as there UW criteria is pretty lose and that score is alot higher then alot of people that get approved for Discover assuming they pulled EQ on you. Best of luck on all your recons!

What is the huh? Discover isn't exactly known as being a strick lender in my opinion and others... people with 620 eq have got approved for non secure cards if that is what the huh is about? On the other hand people with 700+ I have seen declined. They aren't a sub-prime lender, but they aren't near what AMEX or CITI might be. Anyways, just my thoughts.
Obviously there are tons of other factors that go into approvals/denials that one might never know or might never be posted as well.

Discover won't even entertain the idea of giving me a card for whatever reason.

But for some reason they will give it to people with 620-640 scores... Granted, typically the higher the score the bettter chance of approval, but many many cases of people being in the low 600's getting approved. They are up there with Cap1 on making no sense to me as a lender. Maybe they figure you have enough credit and you won't put enough spend through? One can only guess on various companies decisions. Also they might want to diversify there poftfolio, x amt of subplime apps accepted and more so X amt of Prime accounts accepted? Dunno and probably never will.

Yeah, I don't know. My income supports it, but whatever! Discover can keep their weirdness haha.
