Is B of A still doing soft pulls for CLI?

The CLI request line ('button') showed up (finally) after a year. But the 'application' to request the CLI looks more like an actual application instead of a CLI request. Also, the site does say they will pull a credit report. Is it still a soft pull ?

They never updated the phrasing regarding the potential for a HP and there is no such thing as 100% certainty but it's been a long time since I've seen anyone report a HP from a BoA CLI request.

Just went through this last week.

For me, Yes, it a SP.  I requested online like you did and got a message that it was under review.  I have no patience...so I called Customer Service 30 minutes later.  After some conversations, it was resolved and SP CLI approved

Agreed with the above. My 3B were frozen. Got CLI back in March.

That in itself would be a change as one point there were multiple DP that if TU were frozen they were denying CLIs even if only performing a SP.

I was expecting a denial. It was instant approval x 2 accounts. Plus, I still get my free TU 8 score.

ETA. As an added data point. I was on a dry spell. I tried every preceeding month. Instant 7-10 day denial letter or something like that.

i just requested and received a cli a few minutes ago and it was a sp 🙂
