Is Capital One lying to me about the regular QuickSilver card?

So I tried to get a CLI and was turned down over the phone and through EO and the girl I spoke to in EO said my chances to get approved for a regular QuickSilver or Venture were "Very Good". I told her I only have 8 months of revolving history and 4 months of AAoA she said 'Capital One relies more heavy on your excisting account history and other internal factors". She seemed very nice and friendly so I want to believe her but then I also do not wanna waste 3 hardpulls for nothing.

What are my chanes?

IMO, you have a great shot at a $10k Venture approval.

it would be nice to know your scores and any baddies reporting though.

Scores are 675 EQ 695 Trans & 699 Exp and NO baddies at all just a super thin file & I did check and only the QS1 and Platnium come up

Your scores are slightly better than mine + I have two paid collections and a couple 30 day lates reporting.

I was pre approved for the Venture when I applied but I still think you have a great chance at it.

if I were in your shoes, I would go for it. Good luck!

Do you think my AAoA of 4 months and oldest account 8 months will auto decline me?

Yes, I think she's lying to you!

I'd wager a dollar you're chances are EXCELLENT for $5-10K on QS, V1 or Venture with QS being at the lower end, Venture being the higher for a SL. Cap1 seems to be tougher with CLIs than thay are for SLs on new cards.

Their prequal is funky, prequal'd for QS & V1, not for Venture but, got all 3 with very nice SLs. I beleive htat the fact you're prequal'd for ANY card has a direct baring on all.

Take note of the various promo terms, figure out what suits you and HIT the apply button.

AND!!!! Consider applying for 2 different cards within minutes of each other and you may only get 3 HPs, not 6. When I was approved for QS, 3 days later I got V1, only 3 HPs

11/14/14 Total CL $1,100; 6/30/15 Total CL $180K

We won't know until you apply.  If you are seeing that you are pre-approved for the QS I'd chance it if it a must have for you.  Let us know results should you apply.
