I would say you would be approved.. Cap1 isn't the toughest lender and being very generous lately. Only way to know is apply.. Best of luck!
Just go ahead and apply already so a mod can move this to the approvals!
I will apply shortly! One last question for you guys....Will 8 accounts pretty new hurt me? Again AAoA is 4 months with oldest account 8 months and 5 percent total util
Yes, 8 new accounts in the past 8 months hurts you more than having no new accounts :-P But you can't build a nice thick file without new accounts!
Since 09/2014 I have opened up AT LEAST 10 new accounts, and I've still been approved for great cards like my newest account on 04/15/2015, the Chase Sapphire Preferred!
In other words, you'll be fine. I would be more worried about getting a $5k approval instead of $10k or greater approval if I were you!
One thing about the Cap One prequal is the "How do you rate your credit level?" question matters. Based on FICO my scores are fair, but by Cap One's classifications I meet all 3. If I pick excellent I get the Venture and QS Siggy, if i pick average or rebuilding I get the plantinum and QS1.
The regular QS is an Excellent Credit card, Here is Cap-1s definition of Excellent Credit.
I have never declared bankruptcy or defaulted on a loan. I have not been more than 60 days late on any credit card, medical bill, or loan in the last year.
