Is a one day APP Spree to avoid INQ detection?

If the purpose of an app spree is to multiple app to avoid detection of  INQ reporting, I'm not so sure that sits with me well from an ethical standpoint. Since the Inq won't report for 24hours or longer, your betting that the banks approve you based on one app to thier knowledge, not mutiple apps. That is the ONLY reason behind an app spree in my mind. I would rather choose  A CARD that fits my needs and start off my bank realtionship on an honest good note.

AAOA 3 years 3% utllization no baddies or lates ever $204,000 total CL in my wallet.

Do what floats your boat my friend. What one consider unethical another considers ethical and within the rules.

Someone could say it's unethical to buy from Amazon. Where I may get a better deal than to buy from a local merchant. In the end, I'm going to buy from the place that gives me the best deal.😀

How bout if I want to choose to app 4 cards that fit my needs? Am I unethical? My point is we all have opinions, that doesn't make any of us right or wrong.

Is it unethical to shop auto loan rates or prices. A dealer may feel it's unethical that I make them work for my business.

As far as I'm concerned you can apply for a thousand credit cards and at the end of the day the bank will only care that you are spending a lot and paying your bill on time.

Eh. I've had plenty of inquiries show up almost immediately.

So YOUR interpretation of what and why an app spree doesn't define everyone's experience. Your way works for you. Others know they're going to add multiple cards and want the inquiries and cards to age together.

So feel free to never spree. No one will force you.
Capital One Savor: $6,000; PenFed Power Cash Rewards: $3,500; Nordstrom Visa: $3,300; PenFed Gold: $2,500; Capital One: $2,500; Mission Lane: $2,500; Credit One: $2,000;
Store Cards: Kohls $2,500; Home Depot: $1,000; Target: $900; LOFT: $700; Amazon: $350

Yeah in this day and age the inquiries are usually pretty immediate. I would bet that at best you might be able to get away with a few seconds to a minute or so before they show up so you would need to have all applications (that hit the same bureau) ready to submit in different tabs or something, then quickly cycle through them all and submit.

Worth the effort? up to you.

Rumor has it, inquiries are instant. Just because all of our monitors are slow, they are posted to our files instantly, and seen by the next lender to pull. It would be nice to have some data on this subject.

+3. Ive noticed if you apply for a product many times that hp hits quicker than i can huhSmiley Wink so if i app something right after and they pull same report, pretty sure theyll see the last pull so i offer the advice just app for whatever you are looking for. App spree means different things to different people so only ones reasons for doing such counts. I guess ive been on one recently but am just waiting on some results to reveal my gran master plan haha!.

As others stated inquiries are instant.  You might think you are special, but you are just like the rest of us and the inquiry is instantly show on your CR.. On another note if Lender X pulls TU, Lender Y pulls EX and lender Z pulls EQ you are all set as they won't see them that way...  Unless they double pull your or SP another CRA.

A one day app spree isnt to avoid Inq detection, its to avoid NEW ACCOUNT detection!

Re: Is a one day APP Spree to avoid INQ detection?

LMAO Ethics?!

How about the big bank that opens multiple accounts for you in their best interest to inflate their goals?

How about the banks that sell crap bundled mortgages that lead to the collapse in 2008?

How's that float your boat?  Or did you forget and instead collect some plastic from the same ETHICAL banks that you are so worried about?
