Yes a butt load accounts is always going to look worse than a buttload of inq.
I feel your pain because certain banks INQ sensitive we try help our odds as much as we can.
The consensus is to not have recent INQ in 6 months and PenFed just shot me down today, for inquiries.

For us, it was simply about wanting the inquiries to age at the same time. They all began showing up almost immediately.

The one creditor that we know is new account sensitive, Barclay, is the one we'll wait to app for until after everything has shown up and had time to age a bit.

They are instant these days. Only way to try would be full out all the apps online-get to the submit page-and then try to submit them all within seconds of each other. ****THAT**** would be unethical. Smiley Happy lol

How about apping for Penfed, Amex and Barclay because you know they all pull different bureaus? I think we could probably carry this conversation to ridiculous extremes.

Re: Is a one day APP Spree to avoid INQ detection?

Applying with a certain lender because you know they pull one she's typically over another is not unethical, its a good idea. Having a report Frozen so they default to the other bureaus is what they don't like to discuss here… there a lot of posts where they tried and failed, its ok to discuss with who it doesnt work with lol so in roundabout way you get answers youre looking for.

End all answer is to continue to try to put yourself in the position where a triple capitalone pull isnt the end of the world. Double pulls happen all the time when you're not expecting them. What others experience even if you live in the same town may not be the same. you can get pulled on a different Bureau and you can have a very lopsided INQ count because of it.
