Is the 30 day message better than the 7-10 day message?

Applied for the southwest card this morning from chase and have two other existing cards with them. Got the 30 day message. Is the 30 day basically mean decline?

If you're getting the 30 day message in an email, that is the standard response for all applications not automatically approved.  If you're getting this by calling the automated status line, the 30 day message is generally considered good news as is the 2 week response.  7-10 days usually means a decline but there are exceptions.

30 day message isn't all that bad, they are just going to go through your application, possibly call you to confirm something. Had that message from Chase a month ago, got the card in two weeks.

Called and said declined because too many card applications. I only have like 7 in the past two years? I see people with 25 in 3 months on here. How should I go about the reconsideration line?

Southwest cards are under the 5/24 rule, the IHG card is not.
OP you can try to recon but I haven't heard of anyone being able to get around this rule.
