in theory if you applied for a 25k loan through lendingclub.com and put $1 for income it would auto reject your application with a soft pull and give you fico 04 score.....this is frowned upon however and was only said for educational purposes

FICO08 tu isn't it?  So decline with a 700 TU score they provided me, they are rough to get approved with.  Didn't need to do a balance transfer or anything was just applying to see what rate I could get for a 15k loan..  Really weird reason as I make >100k a year owe nothing on CC persay and 39k on student loans that I plan on dragging out forever and a car note that I owe 37k left on still and just rent.. Basicaly it was I don't make enough money ot pay back the loan?  Say What?   Maybe I did a Typo on myincome, who knows... I believe my DTI ratio w/everything being CC/student loans and car note is 13% approx.

Reasons for denial:

  • Excessive obligations in relation to income.
  • Income insufficient for amount of credit requested.
  • Income insufficient for amount of credit requested.
  • Requested product not offered

Anyways, the question is that a TU04 score or TU08?

I did the same as you did just to test for rate and it came back 'Score not high enough for loans with Lending Club.  Your score is 801". **bleep**.

The scores are 08

Seriously your score isn't high enough?  Just added the full list of reasons in my original post.. did they give you a full list of reasons?  Same as mine or different?   That is messed up especially with your 800 score!

I'm not sure what they put in the email for the list of reasons.  I deleted it without opening.  The score thing was enough for me not to care any more.  Absurd

Login to their site https://www.lendingclub.com/ and it will give you the link right there... I am really curious if you have time..  801 just isn't right for a denial..  I am wondering if it the product I applied for being medical expenses.. I didn't think 15k was a bad amout to ask for, but apparently it was lol.  Can't believe you got denied...  The quoted Innovis as well so maybe that came into play?  I thought I had Innovis locked..  I know it is a SP, but TU is only bureau I don't have locked.. I assume someone can do a SP against your credit even if locked being Innovis?  Need to look through and give them a call to ensure it is on ice.

I monitor my credit regularly through several services that provide me reports, alerts, and scores. Some admit it's a pumped up "educational" Plus score which I haven't figured out what the benefit is, but some claim to be a "true" FICO. Whatever I get is nothing like what the lenders are given. On the apps I've gotten back most recently the score reported to the lender has been 30-50 points lower than the scores reported to me when I checked my own FICO scores before I made any applications. There is even a greater discrepancy with the "Plus" scores. Still don't know what they prove.  How can I find out what the lender is going to see? I also have gotten 3 different scores from the same reporting agency at the same time. How does that happen?  What good is it to monitor your credit and score if you can't see what the lender sees until you have been declined?

If you have an AMEX, BofA, or Discover I believe the scores they all offer are true FICOs. If not, you can pay one, or all, of the credit bureas for your reports/scores

Amex provides scores? Where can I find that?

@Frosty636 Does BofA, Discover and AMEX just pull and give you one score from one bureau like Cap1 and Walmart that pull TU? I heard AMEX pulls only Experian correct?

I checked.  Said 'excessive inquiries'.  Only reason listed
