I wonder if there are minimum age of account requirements for certain credit card applications because I want to apply for them after my oldest account is 6 months old and my official FICO score comes out. Of course I will have 1-9% utilization rate reporting on my card, no balances, SSL technique, etc to boost my chances. Basically I'm asking if I have one of the highest scores I can get in 6 months, how likely is it that will I still get rejected based on limited history.

Try to get on as authorized user. Scores will not climb or give you massive history like It sed to but it will help generate a score. TU pullers see them more favorably, chase and amex disregard.
My parents don't have citi.
I'm looking to get citi Preferred card.
Ok, if you get yourself added to any card with a significant history on it and low balance you should gain points.
If you don't get added you will still probably get denied for insufficient experience until the card hits 1 year. It's possible you'll still get approved but, you're going to shoot yourself in the foot and get sub $1K limits and probably end up apping for several of them in an attempt to break that 1K barrier.
This is a marathon not a sprint.
Discover and Cap One are great to get you going right away. For me personally the other big boys didn't start letting me in until after 1 solid year of A+ with the others.
I'd add a Cap One starter card to your lineup for sure, and try a good credit union. Keep inquiries low and plan ahead if you want any Chase 5/24 cards.

This. I know it is hard to wait, but waiting can be a good thing. I felt the same way when rebuilding. It was so exciting to be approved again. Take six months and see what you want to apply for then. Good luck to you whatever you decide to do.
