Get to donuts, come to the register, get inline, and right when it is time to pay..., Employees will pop up from behind the counter with a sign telling you "You have been approved for undisclosed amount of credit!" You accept the offer, put back the donuts, and walk out ![]()

The girl I spoke to laughed with me about the weird signup bonus BUT also said that there is a possiblity that a franchise owner could have worked out some sort of deal somehow. Which I find hard to believe, but she said she hadn't heard anything about it.
It's pretty easy to get a credit card with Synchrony if you have the desire to do so. Wells Fargo and Citi also allow businesses to start up a credit card funded by them. It's possible that the franchise owner did something like that. It seems odd that a manager/owner would risk a business to get a few people's information.

This might be true, but there has to be some clause in the franchise agreement that Krispy Kreme corporate has final approval over any deals the franchises make that involve the corporate name or logo. It's possible that a franchise owner is offering a credit card, but KK corporate would know about it and have signed off.
This is funny/interesting/intriguing. I watch enough Mystery Diners that after the first couple posts I couldn't help but think of some of the crazy things that some rogue employees have done. Will stay tuned!
this post made me LMAO, the sign up bonus! I wonder if you got to pick your dozen or did you have to go with the plain kind,
*discloure- free dozen donuts, not to exceed 6.99, valid 1 per customer, per household, non transferable.

This reminds me that all credit card apps used to be done on paper, and you would hand them over to a stranger at the store or bank and they would phone it in.
Heck, I think I even remember applications in Magazines as part of an advert and you'd fill it out and mail it in and hear back in "6-8" weeks.
I feel old now.
I was just telling my 17 year old son about the old credit card machines tonight! that big hunk of metal they lugged around and sighed when you pulled out a CC
