Lowes CLI HP or SP?

I was speaking to an agent on chat asking for CLI

 Please be advised that your request will be subject to credit approval and we will be pulling up your credit report. Would you like me to continue processing your request?

So i asked if it was a soft pull...

there response:

It's difficult for us to determine with certainty whether or not there will be an inquiry when processing a credit line increase request. You may also contact the credit bureaus for information on how this could impact your credit.

It has always been a soft for me. A couple days ago I went from 2.5k to 17k with a soft.

its usually a SP correct. but they can do HP if they want to.

don't ask these people about credit pulls.. it's above their pay scale...

just do chat and request $25k and they will counter back.... probably $17k based on what others including myself got!

DH went from 3K to 25K via chat with a SP. It may be a YMMV thing.

Well, guess what?....I just online chatted with Lowes, requested $25k and got $17k !!  My current CL was $8500, so they doubled it to $17k...cowinkydink?, maybe or $17k is a magical number.

Oh, and I didn't get any of that credit bureau, inquiry, jibberish that the other poster was getting from the chat rep.
