I would really like to have this card for my upcoming Western Illinois and Las Vegas, NV trip but I don't think my score is in the cards for it. Does anybody know what the minimum score is to get approved? Pre-approval process says there are no current offers but reading many previous threads a lot of others get that same result even with high credit so does the preapproval page even work? Has anyone gotten preapproved for any Wells Fargo cards? With the scores I have would it even be worth trying to apply or just wait several more months?

Scores aren't really that important to WF's as long as they know they possibly can make money off you. Likely FICO scores in the 640-660 range could possibly get approved and a bit higher all the better. WF isn't concerned with scores but how much credit one has, seeking recent credit and DTI, etc.. I had near perfect 850's scores and been denied few times due to amount of credit I already have and them knowing that they wouldnt make a penny off me and giving me reasons that aren't true. Also pre-approvals/qual's mean nothing with WF or most lenders one if they think their profile is in good enough shape just needs to apply for any lender as a HP isnt the kiss of death as much as many think.
Its been said having a relationship as in checking with them helps. Their early pay day checking is awesome if not a customer.
I got an Autograph card 5/17/2023 with a 745 FICO (Experían). I have a checking account with Wells Fargo, my son's checking account is there (he's only 17), and I already have an Active Cash card with the bank.

This is so true especially if you're borderline. I have banked with them for many years, not as my main FI, but I do deposit a small amount from my check every couple weeks and use my Autograph card as a daily driver. Matter of fact I'm going to call tomorrow to request a CLI.

I was denied for the WF Propel card with 840 score. Im tempted to try for their Active Cash card but probably wont. No preapproals show

Save it.. Wells wont approve one after a lengthy credit profile believ me i have wasted many inquiries on them. You are either their target demo or not and I am not. Collected my 325$ checking bonus recently and closed account and tooks that as a waste of a HP and told the EO office that when they were investigation why i was denied in the high 800 with high income and low debt.
