Much needed advice

hi all

A relative of mines recently applied for a walmart card. Recieved a denial letter, and in the letter was showing her transunion credit score at 423. We decided to check her report and score and we are getting a score of 600. Seems like a to much of a big difference I think, and she just got approved for a quicksilver one and cap one platinum.  Looking for some advice on what to do at this point.Thank You.

Re: Much needed advice

are you sure the score from walmart is not their internal credit score? it has a goofy low max range.

Re: Much needed advice

That is an internal score.  When I was denied by walmart I checked my scores and they were way higher than what Walmart had said.

Thank you for the wealth of knowledge I have learned from these forums. I am logging off as of November 9, 2022. I wish everyone great success.

Re: Much needed advice

It may be but in the denial letter it says transunion. Very wierd.

Re: Much needed advice

Lenders sometimes use the *contents* of a specific report, but they don't necessarily use the *score* from said CB.

They have used "transunion" CR to generate a score, that dose not mean they used transunion for FICO Score.

Credit Karma uses transunion CR to generate a score also but it is far from FICO Score.
