Multiple CLI QS1/Plat before credit steps?

Just wondering if anyone sucessfully obtained more than 1 CLI on a Capital One QS1 or Platinum prior to the 6-month credit steps CLI? We were able to get nice CLIs approximately 60 days after getting approved (along with heavy usage) and I was wondering if we should try again at around 4 months / 120 days.

Do we really have anything to lose? As far as I know its a SP, and we will still get a credit steps CLI no matter what.

Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions.

I don't think you have anything to lose given the requests are SPs.  However, I would think it highy unlikely as member requested CLIs typically have to wait a minimum of 6 months between each.  That excludes your first CLI request and credit steps of course.  From what i have read people rarely if ever have CLI success until 6 months after credit steps, regardless if they were able to get one before the steps.

In my case I just picked up a 3x CLI after my 3rd statement (92 days since account opening).  Really hoping to get a high enough bump in credit steps to PC to the no fee QS.

Good luck!

Olehammer - hubby PC'd his Platinum to a no AF QS when his limit was 500. The next week he got a 3x CLI. Go ahead and ask for a PC, you might just get it

Thanks for the tip. I think the QS1 behaves slighly differently in terms of PC as those that get it with the Platinum.  I asked to waive the AF today with no luck.  After credit steps I'll ask to PC.   If it doesn't work then I'll ask again after my next CLI in November.
