I always get this whenever i dont get approved. It usually ranges for me from " your credit line has recently been changed " or lately ive gotten " monthly payments too low "
So yea i would just wait the two days and read what it says. Usually i get a email saying the document is waiting for me to read it whenever its ready.
Whenever I get the check documents it will be a denial. My approvals have always been instant.

It was 6 mo today... so I hit the button. Normally CapOne either approves or denies you.
I got some weird message that said to check the documents section for the answer.
Not sure what to make of this. Before when it was too early (which I may be by 1 day) it always just denied me. If I was approved it would say how much. Never had this happen.
Anyone else? TIA
Are you sure it's been 181 days since your last CLI? Your last CLI date plus 181 days is February 6, remember?
If you request the CLI too early, they don't tell you that - not sure if they used to, but in my three years with them, I've never received an immediate "too soon" message. It will be listed in the denial letter as a reason.

As soon as I get a $1500 CLI on a diff card this one is going bye bye. I never use it anyway and this is crap. 9 INQ prevents you from getting a CLI on a card you've had 3 years. I'm not even mad-I'm laughing at this.
Don't let it get you down... last summer I tried for a CLI on my two QS cards; my Visa got $1k, and the MasterCard got the letter with the reason "not enough use" (or something to that effect). The kicker is, I had actually been using my MC more than the Visa! ![]()
While I completely support your doing what is best for your situation, IMO don't close it just yet. In my own case they ended up giving me a CLI of $1k on the MasterCard a few months later, ironically with almost no use at all, so their reasons are many times bogus. It's likely your 'too many inquiries' is a bogus reason as well, since like you state many of us have more than nine HPs and have had no issues getting a CLI with Capital One.
You have the right attitude in any case... it's not worth being irritated about, and it really is laughable that they'll turn down a CLI (or only give a modest one) then right away approve a new card with a $10k limit (this actually just happened to me last month).
Hang in there! ![]()
