Re: My Chase Fairmont adventure

I'm almost to the point where I don't know what I will do. 2 of my 3 CRAs are high scores and clean. I have all the cards on my Want list but 2, tho if this gets approved it will be one left...

I'll be bored with my life. This has occupied my online life for over 2 years.

Re: My Chase Fairmont adventure

My scores are fine, 740 EX, 754 EQ 765 TU (all FICO 8). I applied only because this likely will be changed into a core Chase card so I will make it a normal Freedom.

Only cards left that i really want are Ink Cash and Sapphire Reserve so I'm pretty close either way. Worst case I just wait until July next year.

Re: My Chase Fairmont adventure

I want Freedom and Citi Double Cash.
Hopefully this will be my Freedom and once my last baddie goes away in October my EX (653) should be where my other 2 are (TU is 763 and EQ is 755) and I could get Citi. Of course they pulls eX for me. Seems they pull EQ for everyone else.

Re: My Chase Fairmont adventure

So far:

January 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and now 21 auto status line has continued to say 2-weeks.

I'm about 95.2% sure it'll be an approval any day now. Kind of debating calling verification just in case that is what's holding it up but at the same time I don't want to rock the boat so to speak.

I got most of my cards as well... probably still needing Amex Everyday/EDP to keep MR points if I cancel platinum and possibly Golden 1 if I plan to switch to all cash back only.

I am hoping Fairmont could be PC'd to one of Chase's core cards as well. Hopefully you will get Citi DC! They've only approved 4 cards with relatively low limits for me... Maybe you could PC your existing Citi cards to DC if you have any. Citi always pull EX for me as well. my EQ is clean...

This is odd indeed... typically 2week message should change by now.... Hopefully you get some good news beginning of next week! If not, maybe trying to call verification then.

Re: My Chase Fairmont adventure

Makes me wonder if yours is the same issue. I say that cuz mine changed from 2 weeks to 7-10 days about 5 days in. I think that is when the letter went out.

I would think the pattern would be the same but maybe not. Meaning if it is a verification thing then the system changes to 7-10 after they send a letter out. Maybe they truly have not decisions yours yet.

I would maybe call on Monday and ask.

Re: My Chase Fairmont adventure

Just checked now (morning on the 23rd) and still says 2 weeks for me.

Tempted to call verification today just to see if that's the hold up.
