I have had NASA savings account for a year and haven't been offered any invites.
Compared to PenFed where I am constantly bombarded...
Well don't add to the data point just yet... I literally wrote on my app I had my job for 6 months and they want 2years tax returns to prove income so I told them to just cancel the app... wish I knew that before I took a hard pull for nothing... asked if they would take bank statements showing deposits in excess of 30k a month and they were like nope! So just FYI unless you're income has been whatever you claim it is on the app for the last 2 years apply at your own risk.
Many people are uncomfortable with sharing their tax return information strictly for philosophical reasons.
Perhaps they might have accepted the last 2 years of tax returns and copies of your last 2 paystubs; the tax returns would confirm you were employed and the recent paystubs would validate your current income. It's not a stretch to have changed jobs with the new position paying substantially more than previous, which the combination of returns and paystubs would demonstrate.

Being self employed I don't have any pay stubs... plus most of my current income is passive investment income. They would only take 2 years tax returns for self employed or last 2 pay stubs for regular employment. So they said they couldn't do anything...

Sorry.
It is what it is, lesson learned don't deal with credit unions until next tax season
Sorry.
Going to move this thread back to applications.
Congratulations on your approval!

@gingerflower - the OP's approval fell through, see rest of comments.
Sorry OP it always makes me wonder about CUs. I just recently got an approval for PSECU with no POI but have been a member for well over a year my dh also has a recently opened savings account and applied for credit card requested 2 years of tax returns and paystubs , we declined as I don't like to provide tax forms (just my preference) so not sure if that has anything to do with length of time with said CU.
I also have a savings account with NASA but don't think I will apply either again sorry OP .

How much income you and your husband in ideally mentioned on the application? How long your husband has been a member with this PSECU? This CU doesn't seem to have specific procol to follow across the board. Don't know if its about the length of membership and/or income that play a role in triggering for POI...But I strongly believe that different underwriters have different modus-operandi over here.....some always ask some for specific kind of documents for POI, while others don't ask anything. Many members on this forum have had reported about getting approved without POI, but in my case I was asked to submit last two year's tax returns and 3 years' bank statements. Mod cut-please do not use identifiable info for non public figures was the underwriter on my application. Kinda very unusual as I don't see any datapoint about demanding bank statements by this CU...
