I have membership application pending since 4/10. I will likely get the card tomorrow after my Amex fico refreshes. I almost hit submit until I read the "hard inquiry" mention. I haven't got pinged for one on the membership app (yet). Thx for sharing this preapproval/prequal info. This could be great for lowering my utilization.
NASA application was the worst and 5 days later I ended up canceling entirely. Fingers crossed they don't a hard pull, but I had to reach out to them twice for status update. They require copy of social security card and proof of residence just to sign up for an account. As tempting as the prequalify offer is, I don't want to deal with this credit Union.

Weird. I didn't realize they denied memberships. Did you take a HP for applying for membership?
Just tried the pre-approval and showed no CL but does show APR. Don't need a card as I am trying for a mortgage.
NASAFCU simply does not like me. Too much available credit.
