How do you prequal with no membership?
I used the link that was provided in this thread. Put in all of my info & it actually showed all of my current cards and balances asking if I wanted to transfer a balance. I chose two and hit continue .. it then showed the apr rate and SL.. so maybe I qualify for a membership? Lol
Thanks. Thats cool. Ive tried twice for this CU but could never complete it so i wont try a third time. Nice to be wanted though![]()
Thanks for the link! I am in with $11,200 CL and 15.74%. At the end it said
Congratulations! Your credit card application has been approved.
Our team will reach out to you on the next business day with next steps. Thank you for your membership in NASA Federal Credit Union.
I guess I'm in!
Does NASA FCU do a HP for membership. Also, what about if you get a pre approvel on the website for the credit card, HP or SP?

If you're interested in the credit card, do the application for that and they'll put together the membership along with the approval. Going this way, it's one EX HP.

I used the NASA pre qualify tool and was pre approved for $15k at 12.25%. Anyone else used this tool? How accurate
is the SL versus the preapproval and any thoughts on NASA as whole? POI, service, CLI's, etc is appreciated.

Congrats!
It just worked for me, but I received a lower rate than you ($15,000 @ 15.74%, 14.90% for balance transfer). Don't want the hardpull as I am in the process of a mortgage...but I will save this info for later...![]()
Take care.
Hi All,
A few days ago I was playing online and ventured over to NASA federal credit union site. Their cards are nothing special but since I'm still gardening and I had the itch, I started window shopping (dropping in my info for prequals) lol I dropped in my info and it told me I was preapproved with a 13.9% APR on the cash rewards card, but no limit info.
I closed it out and moved on with my day. Today, I got a follow up email where it actually says the prequal amount - that was kind of neat. Still not moving on it, but thought I'd share in case anyone wanted to horse around on their site ![]()
I am gardening, too.
However, since I started gardening I have opened three credit card accounts! LOL So, that (window shopping) is a somewhat dangerous endeavor for me. Maybe others, too?
Now, the three credit cards that I have been granted were all planned....just not at the time they were aquired~
So, if window shopping proves to be toooooooooo tempting, then don't leave the darn garden (those bell peppers are gorgeous, aren't they?).
Starting Score: Exp 627

That's pretty nice!! I have read about more than one person that doesn't have an account with them, tried the prequal but it didn't pan out once the HP was done. They didn't mention the "email the following day" so makes we wonder if yours is truly on point! Window Shopping is fun!
