TLDNR: Anyone know from experience whether NFCU will use the same HP (same day) for a second card?
Background:
NFCU Flagship approved w/single TU HP 11am.
I would app the NFCU/Amex if I was confident that no additional HP's were made. NFCU CSR could not confirm if it would be a separate HP nor a different CRA.
Thx.
Yeah what AJC said.
NFCU is very generous at times but you cannot apply for two credit cards at once and be approved. Come back in 91 days.
You CAN go for the CLOC though. Ask for $15K (the max) and you’ll probably get it but it will be a HP on EQ since it’s done by the auto lending department instead of credit cards.
FYI: AJC & Saeren may be correct (prohibited 2 cards at once) however, CSR said members frequently apply for (and I infer receive) two different cards "all the time".
Thx for the tip/awareness on a CLOC (though I won't be going that route).

CSRs are regularly wrong.
UW has told many that you can’t apply and receive two cards at once regardless of profile. The 91/3 rule isn’t flexible like Chase 5/24.

No no no @Anonymous ! OP and CSR are correct!!
Many of us do apply for 2 at same time, we just dont know any better. Lol, not everyone has myFico at their back or have had to learn CSR isnt gospel for 100% truth
Well I know you can apply for as many as you want which is why that pesky “and receive” is on the end.
Genuine LOL response to comments.
"I would app the NFCU/Amex if I was confident that no additional HP's were made. (In past, Amex pulled Experian when I apped the BCE card directly). NFCU CSR could not confirm if it would be a separate HP nor a different CRA."
Just an FYI, the NFCU More Rewards card runs on the Amex network, but it is NOT a true Amex card, or has any "in" with Amex towards future Amex cards.
