Congrats!

Although, in all honesty, I am surprised that they gave you a CLI, since you mentioned in another post that you have 3 cards at 90% Util...

Not for long, I'll wager...2.99% for balance transfers with no BT fee is a powerful tool...

Re: NFCU 3 Month CLI Request Message

If I really got the CLI to 13.5k all I can say is WOW! That's crazy because all my other cards have "toy limits". That would be an unbelievable CLI. I guess I'll know for sure after the midnight update.

TygerHawke - They do that? No BT fee and a 2.99% for BT? I would definitely do that.

Re: NFCU 3 Month CLI Request Message

I just looked it says my card has no BT fee how can I check if I'm on the 2.99% for the 12 months?

Update: Just logged in again and...

Credit Limit
$13,500.00
Available Credit
$13,500.00
Last Statement Balance
Ending 01/23/2017 $0.00

I still haven't received a message from them though this is crazy!

All of NFCU's BTs are always no fee, but they tend to run promos in the spring... I actually took them up on it with my Platinum a few weeks back (2.99% promo is for 12 months; off promo it's no fee but at your purchase rate).

The 2.99% promo is especially a good deal if you plan to pay it off earlier than 12 months.

You won't get a message (at least I didn't) but you'll get a letter in the mail.

All NFCU cards (new and existing customers) have the promo right now:

Re: NFCU 3 Month CLI Request Message

Thanks you guys. This is really strange I logged out then logged back in and if went back to the CL of 1k but available credit of 13.5k and checking it's now showing 4K cash advance available but only a $300 cash limit.

I'm thinking everything will straighten out after midnight Smiley Happy this will really come in handy!

Re: NFCU 3 Month CLI Request Message

UncleB - Do you know if it shows anywhere a deadline to sign up?

I have a couple balances currently on 0% promos but they expire in April and May and I want to BT them to NFCU Smiley Happy

Re: NFCU 3 Month CLI Request Message

Just checked the fine print says by 3/1 do you think they'd end it sooner than that or is that a pretty solid date?

Again thank you this really helps a lot!

They should honor that date.  Last year they also did a 0% promo in the late spring/early summer, but it was targeted (I didn't get targeted for it).

It was believed that only people who didn't use the 2.99% offer got the 0% offer, but that was speculation.  If you hold off they might have the 0% targeted offer again this year, and you might be targeted, but that's a lot of "might's" (YMMV).

I would personally be tempted to take the 2.99% the last week it was offered (to get the most out of your current promos) but that will be up to you.  (I tend to stick with the old "A bird in the hand...")
