I have 2 cards currently
1.Platinum 15,200
2. Go Rewards 21,200
I also have clock 1500 was My original amount and have never attempted to cli this amount.
I applied and approved for late model user car loan approved for 20,000 5.50%
I requested increase on platinum as well as Apr reduction i was given cli to 15,500 and denied Apr reduction with usual reasons such as balance to high not enough time ECT
Day after this application I started reading herr to determine why denied and ended up applied for 3rd Card after I used "prequalify" that showed all cards available on nfcu web page. I decided to try for another platinum with low apr if possible.
General data points at time had high usage on both cards(less than 30% aggregate over all credit but individual on these cards at 60-70 %) I paid cards off completely. I was denied 3rd Card and received letter today.
Sorry so long explanation but never seen such reason and called nfcu 1-800 and they didn't even know what to say but did apr reduction in go reward from 17.99 to 14.99
Nice lady said you must be doing something right as You qualify for reduction
Anyone else ever get this reason

I think some have been successful in reconning denials with them
Sorry about denial. It will happen. Just realize we are in a very different time then pre Covid and Navy is no exception to lenders tightening up. Dont pay too much attention to Navy prequals, imo, they are not reliable . Imho your problem is just timing, ala Covid, give it a couple more months and see where we are then maybe try again.
I got $1k SL for my 3rd (4th) card.
I was preapproval for all including Flagship (min 5k)
DON'T WORK FOR CREDIT CARDS ... MAKE CREDIT CARDS WORK FOR YOU!
OP, sorry for your denial
I would pull your reports at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/requestReport/landingPage.action
Go over them with a fine tooth comb, make sure there are no mistakes on your report?
and possibly try again in 6 months.
