Hello I was approved $4500 go rewards card on Mar 20. Upon looking at my first statement the closing date was Apr 24 and that statement due date is May 21. When should I apply for a CLI if I follow the 91/3 rule. Is there a max to request?

In my case i was approved for the cash rewards on 12/25/21. my first statement ended on 1/9/22 so it was partial so i counted 3 full statements from there. on my online account page statements was the exact date of starting and ending billing cycles so there is no guesswork if you go by thier numbers.
i counted my first statement as 1/9/22 to 2/9/22. so my 3rd full statement ended 4/9/22
On 4/10/22 i was 105/3 and i apped for an 8k cli and was granted 6k.
There are some people lately posting only the 91 days count and it can be 1 partiail and 2 full statements but the vast majority of posts state 91 days and 3 full statements does the trick.
Keep in mind the following,
The max cli granted at this time is 8k so its recommended to ask for 8k.
Any month you dont swipe the card a statement will not be generated
i spent between 1k and 1200 per month and paid in full.
YMMV
Congratulations on your approval! 🎉
Thanks its been a long time coming
Thanks for making that clear to me. Hopefully I didn't screw up. Majority of my cards are due the end of the month so I requested to have my due date with NFCU changed. Technically Jun 24 should've been when the 3rd statement would come out but because I changed the due date I only have one statement for the cycle that ended Apr 24. I would hate to apply too early or too late.
If you get denied because you are too early, you can wait another 20-30 days and apply on the app for a CLI again. Good luck 🍀

Actually you can just wait until you normally would've qualified and ask again. Even if it's one or two days later.
Thanks. I applied for a CLI and got the $8k max. I applied 4 days after my third statement.
Congrats on the approval. Good increase!
