Hmm interesting. Perhaps they did take it down again. See that's why I was so confused. You kept saying there was a button, and I thought I was crazy cause I didn't see it.
Ugh that online prequal tool! Ever since they unveiled it, people have had trouble getting the page to consistently load. I can get it on my PC using only google chrome, but no other route leads me to a working prequal page.
As others have said, calling and asking is the easiest prequalify tool for navy.
Good luck!!!
Well I pulled the trigger...
and got denied for the cashRewards.
I haven't gotten the denial letter yet, but I'm assuming it's due to 3 existing open/unpaid COs and 1 collection, plus 4 paid COs. Sucks, but I guess I'll try for the secured card now and just treat it well and go for another card at 91/3.
Wish I had seen this earlier, would have told you to go directly for the secured card. I opened my account and applied for the cash rewards within 15 minutes of each other and was approved for $500 with a 515 EQ. 4 or 5 chargeoffs, 7 lates, and 5 collections. Low DTI and higher than average income. I wish I hadn't listened to people and had gone the secured route instead. Most people graduate to a $2k limit in about 6 months. Me, on the other hand, took about 16 months before I got a CLI, and it still didn't break the $2k mark. All my approvals and growth didn't start happening until I got near the 2 year mark.

I wish you had seen it sooner too! Probably would've kept me from being impatient and wasting a pull.
Sorry you had such a hard time though. I guess I'll go for secured and hope for the best. Hopefully I don't get denied that one too.
