Has anyone received an approval from NFCU after a Chapter 13 discharge with scores around 693?
I have seen approvals with scores even lower than that so depending on circumstances you for sure have a chance. Did you try to pre qualify?
Were they made whole again?
Pre qualify came back with secured card.
I would go for the secured card then; there are no fees and it will unsecure or "graduate" and you'll get your money back and be able to raise the credit limit on your card while keeping your account history. You'll also be able to qualify for more of their products pretty quickly if your credit score improves.
Of course you can still try for a unsecured card now as your score should be enough to get one possibly but my opinion would be to go for the secured since pre qualify didn't come back with any of the unsecured cards... but maybe others can chime in with better advice. Good luck!
Was navy included in your BK 13?
Navy prequalified site is not the most reliable .

As another member stated, Navy's Pre Qual is not very accurate. YMMV. Tried it a few times said it didn't have anything for me and then cold app'd and was approved. Now I have all three cards.
As long as you didn't burn them in BK you should be fine.
I was approved for the NFCU Amex about 18 months after my 13 DC. Scores were just above 700, IIRC.
NFCU was NOT IIB.
