So, I just joined NFCU Jan 15. I have changed Social Security direct deposit to go there. My EQ08 score from myFico is 625. My current reporting utilization is 69%. I have one collection & 2 charged off accounts reporting. Working on cleaning up reports & lowering utilization. I have a stable job in healthcare & the children get their survivor's benefits from SS. Total gross household income is about 80k annually. Should I apply now or wait until March when I can get my reported utilization under 10%?

I'd wait.  Your scores will go up quite a bit then and you'll be in a better position to get a sizable LOC

How were you eligible? Did they ask for documentation or anything yet? Id wait a good 30 days before switching Direct Deposit over to them.... If they put you in a review you'll be locked out for a few days
