NFCU CLIs - SP/HP? which FICO do they use?

Couple NFCU-related Qs for your experts.

I have three NFCU cards, CLs of 5,500, 10,000, 20,000 and a CLOC for 15,000.

I was running really high utlization until a few weeks ago when i paid everything off. I'm AZEO right now and my scores are higher than they've ever been (and approx 50 points higher than they were when i got my NFCU accounts).

I'm looking for CLIs on NFUC that will be SPs on all my credit accounts. While my FICOs through MyFico have all adjusted with the recent payments, the FICO listed as a free score through NFCU hasn't updated.

1) I believe, but not positive, that NFCU uses F9 scores, is that correct?

2) If I were to request CLIs right now (where FICO has updated my payments but NFCU's free fico shows a score prior to my payments being made, will NFCU use the score they already have (the old score) or will they pull a soft pull of my actual updated report?

3) are all NFCU CLI requests SPs or are they sometimes HPs? If sometimes HPs, is there a method of CLI request that will trigger a HP and a method that will trigger a SP? for instance, perhaps through the web-based app it's a HP but through the iphone app is a SP - something like that?

4) if i did a CLI request and it was successful (or unsuccessful) should i continue to try for CLIs on the other cards or do they a one-CLI request per 60 days rule or something?

5) does the CLOC still max out at 15,000 or have they raised the max on that?

6) iirc, when you ask for a CLI on a card from them, they ask you to suggest a new limit - in doing this is it an all or nothing thing or will they counter with a small amount if you ask for too much?

thanks all!

Current FICO 8s:
EQ: 712 - TU: 719 - EX: 707
Mortgage Ficos: EQ5: 708 - TU4: 729 - EX2: 700
Current Middle Mortgage Score: 708
Goal Scores: 740+

1. TU F9

2. They've used the existing one for me unless it's a new app.

3. Should be sp, could be hp. Don't ask over the phone, that'll will be almost guaranteed hp.

4. It's per card, but each additional credit request taps into whatever internal limit they have for you. Spreading them out gives you a better chance to increase history and the internal limit to pull from, meaning biggest increase possible rather than shrinking numbers by applying all at the same time.

5. I believe that's still the max and it will always be a hp to try because you're effectively applying for new cloc every time you try to increase it.

6. They will counter. Currently, the max increase is $4k due to the pandemic.

You can peruse the last few pages to get a general idea on how things work with them.

Some additional highlights on your questions:

- CLOC max is $15K.  Unless you open an additional checking account, the max these days appear to be capped around $500.

- CLIs are usually SP if requested online or via the NFCU app.  If you call them, it would likely result in a HP.

The current amount given is $500 upon opening, but the max it can be grown to should still be $15k. That also doesn't mean everyone will get a $500 starting limit. Someone made a thread recently where they were approved for $15k out the gate. Just like everything else credit related, it's profile dependant. Regardless, it wouldn't apply to OP as they already have a $15k cloc.

Just reread didn't know the OP already had the CLOC, but it's good for others if they are reading this to know Navy has really halted the wheels on those 15K lines they were handing out like candy in days past, yes I am well aware it's profile dependent of course, but maybe just maybe navy will loosen the reigns a little bit as was mentioned of a 15k approval recently,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
