@alshannan wrote:Hello everyone,
Today morning around 3:30 am I applied for NFCU Flagship Rewards and at 9 am I got an email said After careful consideration, we are unbale to approve you application , and they said I will get a letter from them in 7-10 days.
@alshannan - just curious about a peculiar item you mentioned, any particular reason you chose to apply around that timeframe?
I'm so sorry for your denial! The Flagship has a minimum starting limit of $5000. Lately when Navy has been issuing limit increases they've been giving up to $4000 at a time. Looks like your other card went from $1000 to $3000. I wonder if this means you're not eligible for a $5000 limit with Navy Federal yet. That could be why this application wasn't approved. Hopefully they'll approve you for one of their other cards if you go for it.
I remember reading others say they applied for a card and got denied and then they applied for another card within 30 days and the same pull was used in the new application that was used when they were denied.

The CLI rule is (currently) 3x current limit or $4,000, whichever is less.
So $1k to $3k would be the full max they were eligible for at the time. And the maximum for their next CLI would be $4k.

@KA14 Ahhh, ok! Thank you for clarifying that.

Yes, and primarily for data points here and on the NFCU mega thread.
In a nutshell, the early morning or wee hours hack/myth, doesn't work. It's been busted several times over.
Essentially, if your overall profile meets NFCU's UW criteria for approval, you'll be approved whether it's during the week or weekend, 4am or 4pm. So, just throwing that out there for the community since there's a lot of misinformation disseminated on YouTube and FB groups, for instance.
