To keep it simple can you get denied for Credit Cards and Credit Limit increases if you have a closed checking account with a balance with NFCU?
I know its two different services with NFCU but when I apply for a new card and Credit Limit increases they say "reaches maximum allowed unsecured Credit " or something like that .
I know my scores always play apart just wondering do they take into consideration the closed account with a balance even if it's with one of their checking accounts.
@Anonymous Please refrain from cross-posting the same question. One, because it gets confusing; Two because the answers are the same; and Three, it's against TOS. Below is the link to your previous post.

NFCU is huge on member relationships with the CU which in turn affects your internal score. Until you pay back what you owe NFCU, which is really the other NFCU member's money, you will be in the cold. Pay them back and you will have a chance at redeeming your relationship. Treat NFCU right and they will treat you even better.
So you burn Navy but want them to extend you credit??? That doesn't make sense. Like the one member mentioned "you answered your own question".

I suggest you pay them before they charge it off and shut down your other accounts. They're not known for being too easy on people who owe the CU money.
