NFCU second card before 91 days?

I know the consensus is that you should wait 3 statements/91 days or so before getting a second card with NFCU. Has there been anyone that was the exception to that and received one sooner?

My first card with them was the Flagship with a $30k SL. I opened a checking and savings with the $5 minimum and they sat unused for about 3 months then I added my direct deposit , received an auto loan about a month later, then opened 2 certificates after that and about 2 weeks after that applied and got the Flagship and met the spend the bonus within a month while data usually suggests many denials for it as a first card.  have since opened 2 more certificates and a money market savings.

I want the More Rewards as it aligns nicely with the Flagship for our spending pattern and desired rewards. I guess what im asking is it possible for someone with a supposed strong relationship if that's a thing with them to get a 2nd card before 3 months.

Re: NFCU second card before 91 days?

it's definitely a hard rule, it's not a soft rule like cap1 allowing venture x people to get a savor one after three months instead of six months.

you won't be approved if you don't wait long enough to apply for a second card

I feel like you might also not be HP'd for a denial because you didn't wait the 91 days, but it's not worth trying imo

you might just eat a HP and a denial for trying it
