When I applied for a refinance 3 months ago they pulled my Experian.
When I applied for a new (used) car loan 2 weeks ago they pulled my TransUnion.
When I spoke wtih a rep, she explained there was nothing they can do, but that she believes that for some reason they pull Exp for new members and TU once you already have bank products with them. Doesn't make sense, but I guess it is what it is.
This is interesting... I've never heard of them pulling EX before.
In my case, they pulled TU for my membership, and EQ for my credit card. There was also a SP on EQ for membership as well.
Apparently it can vary quite a bit from person to person these days. ![]()
In the past, it was always said that they "always" pulled TU for membership, and either TU or EQ for credit cards (and if one was frozen, they could switch and pull the other). I have no personal experience with the CLOC, but people have reported that they only pull EQ for that... it's said if you have EQ frozen they will ask you to thaw before proceeding (won't pull alternate for CLOC). Again, I don't have the CLOC myself... this is only what I've read. Also, with this new report that they are pulling EX all bets are off.

Well in my case they pulled TU for membership, and then again for CC.
