Mine took three years to graduate.  Within the first year of having the secured I apped for an unsecured card and got it but I kept the secured.  Just used it occasionally then it finally secured out of nowhere 38 months later!

I think the fact that their customer service seems to constantly give conflicting answers sucks!

Same with me like clockwork,13MO. Unsecured;I was told after 12MO. It's gonna get reviewed;then a decision will be made;I think the CSR's are careful with their wording so it doesn't sound like its a guarantee it will unsecure;

I started with a secured and got an unsecured 4 months later. I obviously have a BK though The secured card should graduate month 13 and becomes your easy in to a 2nd card Congrats

Okay I sent a message asking for LOC reconsideration, they told me I had to call in and do another app.  In the message I sent, I advised that I didn't understand their reason of "insufficient income" for denial-  I was trying to consolidate an outstanding loan of 11K with another company.  I've always paid way over the minimum on my LOC, have never been late on it in over 2 years, and usually make 2 payments a month (everytime I get paid!) .  I make close to 80K yearly, have a mortgage of $740, and student loans of $300.  I called in and submitted the re-app.  So we'll see how this goes.....

Received a response, they will only go up an additional $500.  I'm offended!!!
