That would have took me from $6000 to $6500. The first request over a year ago took me from 1000- 6000. I've never been late, and always pay minimum $250 every two weeks. That $500 would not have helped me at all. I declined.

If you took the HP for it then you should have taken the $500.  It would have no real effect on future increases.

That's just shooting yourself in the foot not taking every little bit after taking the hp.

What's the balance of you are paying $500 month on it?

At the time I applied, the balance was $3500.

Is this a LOC or the credit card that you're carrying the balance on?  And how long have you been carrying the balance?

Its an LOC, and I've paid it off at least 3 times in the 2.5-3 yrs I've had it.  I've carried a balance 80% of the time I've had it.

The CC is a $1000 limit, balance is $225 right now

You have other debt too?
I think td suppose to be a more short term credit option so they may be looking at it saying you seem to need it a lot so your limit is high enough.
I mean navy is pretty laxed but I received all my increases when I wasn't carrying balances.

That could be, I do have a lot of my monthly bills going towards that, and then I just pay the large payments twice a month to cover that and some of the balance.  I called back and told them I accept the $500.  Still not happy about it, but it is what it is.
