I will not req CLI. I will not req CLI. I will not req CLI.
CONGRATS... that is one attractive CLI.

Pulled the trigger and I just have the worst luck with anything positive in the credit world!
My CLI request went to review. I called to withdrawal about 10 minutes later. The CSR then told me my credit was pulled instantly and that is was denied because it has yet to be 6 months since the card was opened!
I opened it in September(can't remember the exact date.) This was my first attempt at a CLI and right at the AR.
What ticks me off is my husband and I both opened our accounts the same day, he received his CLI in January, even though they HP him after the AR. I explained that to the representative and she insisted that she only knows you have to wait six months before ANY CLI.
That was just my experience this morning for anyone going through the same thing.
Is it just my terrible luck?!?!?!
Sometimes it's difficult to tell with NFCU. I have been told twice by both a manager and a CS rep that Navy's official policy on paper has always been 6 months between CLI's. I think that many of us in the myfico community unofficially slipped under the wire and subverted that because Navy wasn't expecting us to come along and request more often. I do believe they have put more solid controls in place since the myfico flood or influx to keep it at 1 CLI per 6 month period.
People are still reporting their first CLI at the 91 day mark (provided that 3 full statements have cut), but even with that, YMMV it seems.
Keep in mind also that just because the AR has occurred, it does not automatically equal SP by requesting a CLI post-AR.
Usually the request results in a SP only if your CLI approval is immediate and does not go to review. When it goes to review, it seems to consistently be HP.

It is what it is.
I won't be utilizing my small credit limit or my accounts with NFCU.
Sorry to hear, but don't give up the ship. As with many lenders (Amex included), when you start out with a small limit, the lender seems to take forever to move it upward. It's almost similar to having training wheels. I'm sorry about the HP and I know it is frustrating, but it will grow eventually. Hang in there.

They will be generous eventually.
They are wonderful. Great customer service. Don't give up on them!
Couldn't find this scenario in my skimming of he 224 pages of this thread so my apologies in advance if this is redundant:
membership approved in 11/16.
Apped and approved for $9K installment loan on 2/1/17
Apped and approved for $10K CLOC on 3/1/17
Do or should I let those two accounts season a bit before my FIRST cc app?
thanks
