Probably a real silly question but could not find the answer from doing some googline.  Is there a way to see your NFCU internal score online?

Not that I'm aware of.

Got it.  I think I must have seen it before on a letter they sent me but for some reason thought there may be a way to check online.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

If I'm not concerned about the HP and my three months past last week, should I just go ahead and app for the CLI? I know the AR is coming in May, and my util has gone from 89% (their last AR/Pull) on to 29%, so they definitely need a refresh.

I ask because I went on a mini spree this week and want it all to end. LOL.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

I would wait six months between CLI requests with NFCU.

29% is NOT a good utilization rate, it's not bad but's it's not good. Ideally be under 20% before asking for your next CLI.

Two cents

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

Sorry I should have mentioned. I have not applied for a CLI yet. The card was opened a litte over 100 days ago...

So, I do realize there is a 6 month between CLI, but the consensus is that for your first CLI, you should go after 90 days or "3 statements" correct?

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

Three statements AND 90+ days after you get your card, but that's the minimum requirement not necessarily the ideal. I'm waiting the full six months until I request my first CLI on my NFCU Flagship CC that I got in December-2016.

If NFCU only did soft pulls on CLI requests I would pull the trigger earlier but a hard pull I want to make sure I get a good sized increase and my credit profile has all it's T's crossed and I's dotted.

That's why I say wait until you hit the 6-month mark and try to get your utilization below 20% at a minimum.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

I think I am!! They're always really good with recon as well.

If I am denied for the CLI, is there a cooldown period, or can I try again when my reports update next month? (Hoping to be at less than 10% util by then!)

I know I sound impatient, but I hate applying for cards, I want it to be done. This is the last card I want to see increased before I garden for... YEARS.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

Last question.. Promise!!

So technically I can try now, and if for whatever reason it's denied, I can try for recon. If denied, I may be able to TRY AGAIN when the AR comes in May? LOL. I only ask becuase my report is quickly paid down and *slowly* getting better and better. I hate waiting for updates... I've paid down nearlly all accounts 100%, but two of them are still being reported as 80~90%+ util. It's killing me to wait, and with this spree, forget it, I don't care about one additional HP.

I'm almost certain that if I'm denied now, when all of those payments are reflected on my CR, I'll be less than 10% and should without question be approved. My wife got 24K, I have a higher income than her and my scores should be in check as well. We're pretty much the same across the board profile wise, I just have creditors that like to take their time to update.Smiley Very Happy
