Okay sdsoccerdad, you inspired me!
I know we got the second Navy cards at the same time in January and I had my 4th statement cut on the 10th of April. I have put about $200 or less on the new Go Rewards card and paid in full each month. I have $8K on my Cash Rewards (took advantage of the BT offer at 2.99% in January/February), pay $1500 a month on that and don';t have a balance on the CLOC.
I decided to go for it after your success today. SL was $5500, put in for the max and before I pushed the luv button, I had the call in queue to cancel the request if I got the 24 hour message. Instant increase to $22K, so I hung up lol!!
Thanks sdsoccerdad and thanks NFCU!!!

That's awesome Wade! Love the progress you've made from 1/16 to now. I'm hoping to achieve similar results. This morning I was actually hoping to get at least $18K like my Cash Rewards so I was extremely pleased to see the $22k approval. Do you plan on going for a 3rd card anytime soon?
So you guys aren't waiting for the AR?
I actually pushed the LUV button Saturday... Got the lovely 24 hour message. I believe it's because I'm only 87 days into my card - I got my math wrong. I got my card in January as well. It was approved on the 18th to be exact. I can almost guarantee the reason for denial will be too early, as they've told me that before.
Are you both past 90 days? Did you do it on the 91st day? LOL
EDIT - I see you got the card on the 9th. Was this CLI request a HP or SP? My CLI request was not a HP.

Here is my timeline:
Apped and approved on 1/9/17. Was not approved immediately but received a text message 5 minutes after app that I was approved. I was on the phone ready to cancel my app but then the csr told me I had already been approved while at the same time I received the text.
I had my 4th statement (dunno how I had 4) cut on the 16th. I actually tried to do this yesterday morning but it said it needed a 24 hour review. I immediately called to cancel the request and csr confirmed they did not pull credit yet.
Woke up early this morning and tried the cli again and was immediately approved for $22k! I guess it was 98 days after checking my calendar.
Thanks sdsoccerdad!!
I vaguely remember that YOU are going to be the third card guinea pig lol!!
No, I'm actually not going to app for anything more and just garden for now. It's been a great year and so much more than I could have ever dreamed of doing with my credit rebuild. I was just waiting for the May AR at Navy but now I don't have to think about that! My plan is to just coast until the end of November when the Chapter 7 ages to 2 years (time flies)!
I'll be watching to see if you go for the third card or maybe peghede will do it lol!! I sure enjoy watching your progress and admire the way you're building your profile!

Oh yeah! I still want to do it but am chicken right now....The last card I want from NFCU would be the Flagship. I just dunno if I should wait a little longer before I app for it. I may be doing the same as you and hit the garden soon.
Since I've gotten my card, and before I knew the 3/90 rule, I applied twice.
Both times no INQs at all, just denial letters saying too new. Tried to recon the first one, 45 days ago, was told "too new" wait a little bit. This most recent time, I haven't received the letter, but again they didn't pull a report, so I'm assuming it's "too new".
I wonder if the system has a request for CLI and goes to 24hr message or denial with no HP, it doesn't mean credit based denial but rather "too new, come back later".
Good news for those who want to try for a CLI without sacrificing a HP. I don't care about INQs anymore, this is the last increase I want for a while...
I'm hoping my theory on the non HP CLI request is accurate and that I can try again when I'm not "too new" in a few days.
@sdsoccerdad, one thing we know, is that there will always be time to app lol!! I don't blame you, especially if you have your sights set on Chase anytime soon. Maybe pegheded will go for it and we can watch ha, ha!!
@lexguru, I was waiting for the fresh AR but decided to try. after sdscoccerdad's success.
My card was at 105 days and four statements. I'm prepared for the HP as it's the first CLI request on this card but it usually takes a day or two for me to get the 'good' news from My Fico updates....lol!!

Sounds good. Hopefully pegheded will do it and motivate us.
Will NFCU pull a different bureau other than EQ for the CLOC?
My DW's EQ is frozen I was just wondering, if anyone knew if they would pull an alternate by default?
