Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

@bruised, thanks for the vote of confidence!

If I'm being totally honest, I was beyond surprised that Navy gave me a shot with the CRewards Visa last September. I got a SL of $4500 which I was pretty sure I didn't deserve, just 10 months post Chapter 7. I applied for the CLOC at the same time and got the full $15K and still didn't believe it until the docs arrived in the mail. My CRewards increased after 91 days in January to $22K and I apped for the Go Rewards at the same time. Got a SL of $5500 and that was increased to $22K at the end of April.

I am still so humbled by all of it, I'm actually speechless. If Navy never gave me another CLI or any product for that matter, I am so grateful for what they have done for me and my profile. As I approach the 2 year mark on my discharge this November, I am so grateful to all of the community and people such as yourself who have shared information so generously.

Members of the community like Scupra, AJC, Creditaddict, baller and so many others, really gave me so much insight. I have learned far more in the last year then I learned about credit in several decades before. If it wasn't for this community, I would still be hanging on to that  stinking Credit One Visa with the $600 SL and never having the guts or know-how to make a better plan.

So, if I get the CLI on the 8th, awesome! If I don't, how could I ever complain or even be disappointed?

Thanks for all the info and the insight @bruised...I look forward to continuing to watch your journey, enjoy the process of learning and giving back where I can.

BTW...I think you'll get those elusive PenFed offers in the next few months. I don't think I'll be seeing any for quite some time if ever, but again, it's all so good!

All the best my friend and have a great holiday!!

Smiley LOL

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

I received my cash rewards card in april but I didn't start using it until june. When I search my statements online, I only show one from June 22. I want to request CLI after 91 days (July 16) but I only show one statement showing. Is this because the first two months, I didn't use it? Shouldn't I have had statements even with a 0 balance?

Yes. If you have non usuage with Navy credit cards no statement will generate. Happened to me on both of my credit cards with them.Once you start using it consistently you will recieve regular statements. I would let at least another statement post before trying for the CLI that would give you at least the 2 + over 90 days that's was my experience in getting a cli. Others have waited the full 3 statements +90 days so YMMV on that.
