OK, I have a question.  Let's say I get an auto-CLI from Navy.  Can I then also request a CL; and what are the odds of approvaI?  In other words, I'm wondering if Navy's CLI policy is like Amex where an auto-CLI does not preclude the member from immediately initiating a CLI request.

So i've never had an auto-CLI, but from the DP's that have been on here i would say that it doesnt reset you. On the flip side of that coin, your auto-CLI may have been your internal limit going up and they gave you what was available. Most likely it would go to review, and I would expect a HP if you try for a CLI after an auto-CLI if some time has not passed for your internal limit to go up more.

Cool.  I'm curious because the 3rd statement for my CR cuts tonight and it will be 91 days in about a week.  I've been pushing through 70% utilization then paying it down each month in the hope of a auto-CLI but the ones I've seen were very small so I'm not so sure they give the internal max for auto-clis.  But since I'm gardening I can't spend a pull to find out (TU 09 - 768).  Think I'll just wait for AR to see what happens.

You could have all three the same. 3 is the max you can have with Navy. (not sure if the "unicorn" 4th was real unfortunately)

What are you saying here?

That Navy doesnt care what kind of card you app for, you could have 3 cards with them all the same type and billing processor.  like 3 cashrewards visa and as long as you are using them and paying them, its irrelavant to navy.

3 is the max amount of cards you can aquire with Navy.  There was a poster stating he got a 4th card, but unfortunately we were unable to verify that, so i'm sticking with the 3 cards are max at this time.

@Anonymous mean @peghede ? What method would you use to verify that ?

Yeah, Peghede..  Normally he would post an approval screenshot of it, but didnt for the 4th card. and several ppl (myself included) have gotten the you have the max amount of cards that we allow letter.  So it's not that i don't beleive it, but i just havent been able to verify it.

Are you asking in general?  Several my cards have given me auto-clis. Specific to Navy, my card is less than 3 months old so no auto-CLIs from them as yet.

As always YMMV, but normally and from DP's on here.  An auto-cli is usually only after the card is 13 months old with no CLI requests. I'm sure your profile (DTI/Income/Usage and Payments) would factor into that alot as well.

No I was asking specifically about Navy. Auto cli's are rare. And I would not state that they occur after not asking for a cli because in my case, I asked often but was not rewarded. After 1 1/2 years of asking, I was finally rewarded and then a few months later, I got an auto cli.

Re: Navy Federal UPDATED CLI and 2ND ACCOUNT THREAD

I got 1st NFCU card (1k) and 1 month later got the CLOC(2k). At 3/92 I got my second card (15k) and a CLI on the 1st card (3k). When can I ask for a CLI on the CLOC, second card? When can I app for the 3rd card?
