I had a Navy FICO of 788 (11/3) and a pretty clean file with one inquiry. I call myself using some restraint and asked for a $6000 CLI on a $35000 income. I got the wait 24 hour message but I just checked the app and saw: Available credit $4500 of $1500 (I'm hoping wording aside that I got an increase to $4500). I'm really happy that my HP wasn't wasted!
Is this CLI tripling normal or something unique to my account?
Was your first CLI auto or did you request it?

Congrats avburns1Dont read too much into a 3x with Navy. Dont assume your 35k income will limit you, Navy can treat you very close to that when time is right. Aim high on your request, as you can see they counter if they dont give everything so long as your eligible.
Thanks AverageJoesCredit for the kind words.
Seeing these replies has me wishing it was April 2019 so that I could apply and get an approval on one of NFCU's cards as that will be our 1 year post discharge. Patiently waiting and hoping my wife's NFCU Secured will graduate next month since that will be her 5th statement and we've been very good with this card.

Good luck to her! Is it the 5th or the 6th statement that they consider letting you graduate? Dec. will be my 5th statement so I'm hoping it's in the next few months too.
When you ask for the CLI and 2nd card. Do you call in or do it all online?

Ok thanks. My 91/3 is in January. I have been eyeballing the Flagship card. I already have a Cash Rewards.
