@AJC 🤣 🤣 🤣 Yes GC would (and will) have a ball with that one.
Yeah I think I can’t ask for CLI until June because I did my reallocation and PC in January. Since the Amex was cashRewards which got a CLI in December, I probably have to wait til June for that one and July for the Platinum since I did a limit reallocation that bumped that one up $5K.
Thing is, I don’t really want a CLI on those, I would rather get a cashRewards and get the SUB but $2500 spend is a lot when I don’t have anything major scheduled so I guess I’ll just sit it out for now.
I have kind of gotten in the gardening groove myself. I am gardening for that Cash+ at least... after that all bets are off haha.
Possible to get a CLOC without a HP? Has that ever happened to anyone?
Just applied and approved for $15K CLOC but no alerts for HP and they are usually instant from all three bureaus.
Wondering if they used my Flagship approval from TU, but was under the impression they are different departments.
Anywho I will look out for it because I was expecting one but will be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't show up.
Also Pretty sure I have now reached my max exposure limit with my income and they have extended me more than adequate credit but I will of course test that theory in 6 months with CLI requests on my cards lol.
Navy is definitely showing me some love this week and I never thought I would be here a year ago. Feeling grateful.

I am grateful for what I have. Don't think that I'm not. I was just expecting more with a 200k a year income. That is a nice income, but if you have high DTI, it doesnt really matter how much you make if you still can't afford to pay for it. While they are generous with enough rope to hang ourselves with, they are still a business that has to be careful as well.
Navy is huge on DTI, even a 30% DTI (which in most cases is standard) is high to them. That is something to consider for the limits. I will say in my EXP over the past 2 years, new cards are always higher SL then a CLI will grant you, but with time (Navy loves history) they will grow and at a much faster rate than anywhere else.
Congrats on the new one and the CLI, Enjoy and they will grow nicely
That^^. I actually called Navy to ask a few auto refinance questions today because i was considering refinancing my car, I decided against it but that's another story.
Anyway I asked the rep about the credit score needed for the best rates or even approval and his response was that while credit scores do factor into the equation they focus more heavily on DTI and your abiity to pay the loans back. His example was if you have a credit score of 750 yet 75% DTI the likelyhood of you being approved is not good. But if you have a score of 650 and DTI of 15% then you have a much better chance even though your score is lower.
Of course I know reps don't always know what they are talking about but it seems to correlate with my experience and what I have read on here. Just found it interesting he pretty much confirmed what is always talked about with Navy and DTI.

I haven’t heard of anyone getting a CLOC without an HP on EQ. Keep us posted!

I know, I am sure it's coming lol. But one can dream 😂😂
Well I just got DECLINED for Flagship with a 745 Fico8 and 6 digit income and 15% ult and 1 inquiry.
CS won’t tell me why and won’t apply application to different card.
I have to wait 10 days for a letter.
Unbelievable.
First PenFed now NFCU.
I think I am officially done with credit unions!

Yeah, thats actually a good plan. Im tempted to see if i could get another card, heck even the FS but i figure, if i can give it more time, say another couple months, a year, heck even 2 ,my history will be much better and as i often learn its better to get a SUB when you csn actually put spend for it.

WOW, I am sorry to hear that and very surprised considering your low DTI and high income.
