Let me help speed it up a bit lol.
@Shooting-For-800, can you let us know what the ult refers to in your post. Abit of confusion. Thank you and sorry for denial
15% utilization of limits
(0% interest promotion)
Unfortunately that’s probably why they said no. High revolving debt will kill your chances with CUs since they tend to weigh outright numbers instead of percentages.

Had me over here hyperventilating...I will be applying at the end of the month with most likely 6 percent utl for the Flagship... but that equates to around 500 on my CR... Lol. 15 percent on 200k is a much different story.
Ive been preaching lately about how every file is completely different and I think that holds true here.
Keep us posted on the letter 800!
Yeah I think that we tend to get FICO focused here and stop looking at raw numbers.
When the average person has 2.6 credit cards with total limits of $13544 in the 661 to 780 FICO range, those of us here are massive outliers.
Pretty stupid of them to not ask me about it.
In 5 minutes Icould have sent them a checking account statement with more than that it in.
Should I apply for different NCFU card?
I mean this is silly. I would understand more if people with scores below 600 were not getting approved.
Right now I am prequaled for US Bank Siggy, Regions Premium Siggy, etc.
I just got a CLI on PayPal and Discover this week so there is no big surprise on my reports.
DON'T WORK FOR CREDIT CARDS ... MAKE CREDIT CARDS WORK FOR YOU!

@Anonymous, you made a good point about Flagship. Even i might pause before throwing out an app to see if it sticks if they truely factor the SUB into the equation. I have no problem letting a SUB go. Lol, and sadly, i was unable to complete my CR SUB at begining but unlike many SUB mariners, ill live if i dont dive deep
I will be surprised if there's a difference in UW, otherwise it wouldn't make sense how easily they let you PC to/from the Flagship.
(Other than the $5k minimum credit line, of course.)

I don’t think NFCU would think twice about giving it to you if they can qualify you for the $5K minimum, I’m just talking new members that go straight for the Flagship. It seems like NFCU doesn’t want to chance churning on that card so they want a relationship.

I would try for a lower card. Wait til you get the letter though to make sure that’s the reason and not something else.

Isn’t that a difference in UW in and of itself? NFCU would have shot me down in September if I went for the Flagship since they could only give me a $3K SL but I could have gone for the Flagship in December with the $7200 they gave me on the Platinum.
