@Shooting-For-800

Its possible you could try another card. It will be another hp but im more afraid of your vent rage here if they deny you lol. Sorry, just trying to keep it light. Your profile is good enough . What you might try is for another card. If approved perhaps ask to pc to FS. Cant hurtSmiley Happy

Lol if he does that, we will know my theory about the Flagship is correct.

Isn’t that a difference in UW in and of itself?

Technically yes; I'm just pointing out that other than the minimum credit line the Flagship isn't "harder" to get than the other products.

If that were to happen it would be "Discover Card" level of nonsense, since that's literally counterintuitive.

I agree but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

I just could not take the rejection!

I applied for Cash Reward and was approved for a whopping $1000 at 15.24%.

I guess I should be happy I got my foot in the door even though it is by far my smallest limit?

Better than another decline I guess.

At least I will get the $250 sub out of all this mess.

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

Congrats 800, you may have benefited more by getting a CLOC first even if not needed and just sit on it a month or two. I was denied cc’s from them but got cloc for 500, month later 6k along with go rewards then a SP cli on cloc to 14.5k and SP 500 cloc on my second checking, 3 months after go rewards got 9.5k Flagship, 3 months after that got 20k cash rewards...sometimes gotta start small no matter the profile, my income is 91.4k I have 4 baddies on my reports and somewhere between 20-35 inq when was approved for my nfcu accounts including the 31k Nissan refinance they gave me

Congrats on your approval! Navy be weird sometimes.

But I will say a year ago my first cc with them was only a $500 SL and now well they have extended me credit equal to my yearly salary.  So  I am a big believer in relationship and DTI with Navy bcause my scores while better than last April still aren't stellar. Give it 6 months and with your profile I wouldn't be surprised if you get a nice SL on a second card.
